How do you use MusicBrainz Picard?
Here’s how to use it:
- Download and install the application here for Linux, Mac, and Windows.
- Run Musicbrainz Picard.
- Add a folder containing music files.
- After you add the folder, most of your files will be in the “Unmatched Files” folder on the left.

These are the FILE NAMING settings I use, and have found them to work the best, this is just somewhere to start. All other options can be explored as i don’t go into other details. By default, Picard fetches the TitleSort attribute and writes it into your files. However, if these tags are present in the files, Plex will use them eventually.
