The Glenlivet Nadurra, now, is more my speed. Not colored or chill-filtered and bottled at cask strength, the Nadurra supplies what the standard expressions are missing: concentrated flavor. It’s been aged at least 16 years in only ex-bourbon (American oak) barrels.

The result is a full-bodied, heavily sherried dram that still shows the elegance that you find at the core of Glenlivet’s spirit. Rich and heavy fruit and spice, right off the bat: dried mixed fruit, prunes, cherries and fruit jellies. Rich marzipan and sticky black liquorice appear behind that, along with a rich earthiness and menthol.
