Is AB 540 a policy?
Private colleges and universities set their own tuition policies. AB 540/ SB 68 applies only to public community colleges and universities in California. AB 540/ SB 68 eligibility exempts a student from paying nonresident tuition. It DOES NOT change nor adjust immigration status.
