What is a PiYo class?
PiYo is an 8-week fitness plan from Beachbody that combines the strengthening benefits of Pilates with the flexibility enhancing effects of yoga. Set to music, this dynamic, energetic program was designed by trainer Chalene Johnson to provide a full-body workout without straining your body.

How long is a PiYo class?
The workouts range from 25 to 45 minutes, with the majority clocking in around 30 minutes. PiYo is a 60-day program with workouts scheduled 6 days a week. And, because PiYo involves intense cardio, you can get results significantly faster than with traditional yoga or Pilates.
How do you get beachbody certified?
A: In order to become INSANITY Certified, you must attend the 1-day live INSANITY Certification Training Workshop and pass a written exam with a score of 80% or higher. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of your exam results.
Is PiYo good for beginners?
There is some debate whether or not PiYo is for beginners. It helps to have some yoga or pilates experience, but each workout has a modifier. So, I would say yes, PiYo is good for beginners. If you are bored with the usual workouts, PiYo can be a fun low-impact program for you to do.
Do you wear shoes for PiYo?
Barefoot is great if your body can handle it because it will strengthen your foot muscles, making shoes less and less necessary. However, if you have any type of foot ailment that makes it more comfortable for you to wear shoes, you will absolutely still benefit from the program.
