Can you play sports with progressive lenses?
For sports like tennis and baseball, there’s no benefit to wearing a progressive lens. The ball moves too quickly for you to be able to find the appropriate distance, and hitting the ball is more of a matter of muscle memory than necessarily having a perfect view of it. However, the exception for this category is golf.

No manufacturer in the world is able to produce your progressives without the surface astigmatisms.
Can you read the distance with a progressive lens?
It may be weird in the beginning with your first progressives and it can feel restrictive at times but you should be able to read and see clearly into the distance before you leave the optical shop. You can not adapt to the lenses that are too wide apart from each other.
