It is a better sub than the kicker but it needs a bigger box and it needs a ported box. You can use a sealed box but you will not like it. I know there are sealed box size on Sundown website but if you call Sundown they will tell you “do not put them in a sealed box”.
Is skar better than Rockville?
Skar is much more recommended than Rockville. Actually, i find redditors to like skar more than anything, most (if not all lol) installers in my area dislike skar due to medicore quality & how the owner purposely used to take peoples cash and run, nothing is worse in business than a snake.
Is 1 ohm or 2 ohm subwoofer better?
At 1 ohm, you will get more power output from your amplifier and your subwoofers will play louder than if you wired them to a 2 ohm load. You can also save some money by wiring your subwoofers to a 1 ohm load.

What’s the difference between the Sundown z v 5 Series?
They will work in the same small enclosures that you are used to using for Sundown Audio subwoofers, although, the will tolerate enclosures up to about 50% larger than those if you desire even more low-end extension. The Z v.5 series is really a different kind of woofer due to its incredibly linear suspension.
