What do the Aappl scores mean?
AAPPL is a proficiency- and performance-based assessment whose tasks are informed by the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages, ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines, and the ACTFL Performance Descriptors for Language Learners. AAPPL scores range from N-1 (low range of Novice) through A-1 (low range of Advanced).
What is a good score on the Aappl test?
A score of N-1 reflects the abilities described as Novice Low in the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines 2012. Scores of N-2 and N-3 reflect Novice-Mid abilities, with N-3 being a stronger performance within the Novice-Mid range; N-4 reflects Novice-High abilities.
Is Duolingo easier than Toefl?
The Duolingo English Test is easier than IELTS and TOEFL. The Duolingo English Test practice doesn’t require you to acquire a native accent. The only thing that you need is the correct pronunciation of the words. If you speak quickly, you will get a higher score in the speaking tasks.
Can I retake the Aappl test?
Any student retaking the test (AAPPL, Avant, AP, IB) must take the test in a different semester from the first time he/she tested. Additionally, any student retaking the test must retake the entire test. Students must take the test at a school site.

What is on the Aappl test?
The AAPPL assesses Interpersonal Listening/Speaking, Presentational Writing, Interpretive Reading, and Interpretive Listening, and ratings are assigned according to the ACTFL Performance Descriptors for Language Learners. The four components of the test take a total of approximately two hours.
What’s the standard score on the written language scale?
This scale measures the ability to use written forms to convey information. Christopher is presented with oral and visual prompts and asked to respond in writing. On the Written Expression scale, Christopher obtained a standard score of 68, which is considered to be within the Deficient range.
What are the different types of ell score reports?
The same types of score reports are generated for all students taking ACCESS for ELLs (Online, Paper and Kindergarten). All of the score reports provide score information for the same eight categories: four domains and four composite areas (Oral Language, Literacy, Comprehension, Overall).
How is the oral language composite score calculated?
