Her restraint was rewarded when Leafpool returned to ThunderClan just as Cinderpelt was killed by a badger. ThunderClan had a medicine cat once more, and Cinderpelt was able to say her goodbyes to her apprentice before passing on. Cinderpelt is not the only medicine cat to have foreseen her own death.
