Stone Mountain Park’s Snow Mountain has been canceled for the 2021-2022 season (November 2021 – February 2022). Stone Mountain Christmas will open as scheduled on Saturday, November 13!

Is the laser show at Stone Mountain free?
Due to Covid-19 restrictions limiting attendance to under 20% of normal capacity, we have implemented a fee per family in order to present the Lasershow Spectacular and cover our operating costs. If we did not charge this fee, it would not be financially feasible to bring back this Atlanta tradition in 2021.
Can you swim at Stone Mountain Park?
Can I swim in the lake? No. Our greatest concern is for the safety of our guests. Because Stone Mountain Lake is a large, urban lake, it is subject to water quality issues, especially in the summer when high temperatures or heavy rain can drastically affect the water quality.
Can you climb Stone Mountain for free?
The locals park in Stone Mountain Village for free and run in to the park using the Stone Mountain bike path. Dogs are allowed in the park, however none can be taken on the walk-up trail. The walk-up trail is open from dawn to dusk.

All guests must have a valid lift ticket, season pass, or reservation to receive gated entry access to Mountain High’s base areas. To reduce wait times and congestion in the base areas, we offer direct-to-lift access for tickets purchased in advance.
Can you climb Stone Mountain at night?
Guests looking for a little more adventure during their visit can take the 1-mile trek to the top of the mountain. The Walk-Up Trail is open daily from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted.
