This is an exciting age group to be coaching! Once players have progressed to a point where they’ll be using u8 soccer drills, they should already have a solid understanding of the basics of soccer. Now it’s time to progress into more advanced skills, introduce more competitive play, and start shooting / passing from longer distances.

How are the players placed in the danger zone in soccer?
Place all of the players on one of the end lines with their ball. The two designated “bulldogs” are placed in the danger zone without soccer balls. On the whistle, players on the end line will try to dribble through the danger zone to the other safe zone without having their ball stolen by one of the “bulldogs”.
