How long has Zoo Med been around?
From humble beginnings, Zoo Med started in 1977 in Gary Bagnall’s one-car garage in Costa Mesa, California. The company began as a live reptile import/export business, but after the company’s development of the reptile vitamin, Reptivite®, in 1981, Zoo Med turned its focus to animal care products and never looked back.
Is Exo Terra better than Zoo Med?
The Exo Terra appears to be more prone to fruit fly escapees as it has two doors to double the gaps; it also has a larger gap between the bottom of the vent and the latch to allow for escapees. The Zoo Med tanks seem to be more fruit fly proof out of the box with less gap between the single door.
