Do you need an ESC for a brushless motor?
First thing I learned was that there are brushed and brushless motors :). But, it worked, which was great, but in my research this morning I’ve come across all sorts references that you absolutely must use an ESC to control a brushless motor.
Can I use Brushless ESC with brushed motor?
With the correct firmware, a brushless ESC can operate a brushed motor, but very few companies offer that. If you found a brushless motor the same size as what’s in a servo, it would work great. Otherwise just go with the $10 china brushed ESC’s.
