How many volunteer hours do you need for NYU?
NYU Langone volunteers commit to a single four-hour shift per week, for a minimum of nine consecutive months. As a general rule, hospital volunteers are required to maintain a regular schedule, working on the same day, at the same time, every week. By the end, volunteers contribute at least 150 hours of service.

Ward Befriending Our ward befrienders provide social and emotional support for patients/visitors whilst in the hospital. Ward befrienders are based in our inpatient wards, and interact with patients, visitors, as well as staff to ensure that patients are supported during their stay in the hospital.
