Yes. The GTX 980 is still a powerful GPU no matter how you look at it. I wouldn’t go playing 4k or even 1440p games on it but you can still run most games at high frame rates even on high settings or even ultra settings for some. Depending on your tolerance for frame rates it is more than good enough.
